In Minessota, if you were stopped by highway patrols for suspecting you driving under the influence and they found out that the alcohol concentration in your bloodstream is .08% and above, you will be charged with DUI. If you got yourself involve in an accident and you have a high alcohol/substance concentration in your system, like 20% or higher, there is an enhanced penalty to deal with. 

Minnesota authorities will suspend your license for 90 days during your first DUI conviction. You can still apply though for a provisional license given you will be able to justify why you need it so. The decision is within the courts discretion, depending on the situation.  

For your second dui conviction in the state of Minnesota, authorities will suspend your license for 180 days and 1 year on the 3rd time around. You will be spending some jail time after your 2nd conviction and mandatory assessment/alcohol treatment after your 3rd. The court will order for the installation of ignition interlock device or your vehicle will be confiscated.
