Vermont DUI Attorney

The legal limit of 0.08% blood alcohol content (as measured by a breath device, urinalysis or blood test) is in effect in the state of Vermont. Vermont has a "zero tolerance" law regarding underage drinking and driving, but the court considers 0.02% BAC for 21 years old offenders.

The State of Vermont also observes the Implied Consent Law. On your first Vermont dui offense, your license will be suspended for 90 days; 18 months for your 2nd Vermont dui offense and 2 years and permanent license revocation for the third time around.

Vermont court may require you to complete an alcohol education program and pay fines and other court associated costs. In other states, you can apply for a provisional license while your license is suspended. In Vermont, they do not allow that. Though it is not necessary to install an ignition interlock device, authorities may seize your vehicle after your third offense.
